| Abstract: | System LSIfs for mobile applications and microprocessors for high-end server machines --- essential technology for gbothh of them is low-power design technology. In this talk, I present low-power design methodologies for system LSIfs in two parts. In the first part, I briefly describe the fundamentals necessary for understanding low-power design techniques in CMOS LSIfs. Then I present key technologies that are actually used in system LSIfs to reduce power. Automated low-power design techniques such as gated clock, operand isolation, low-power logic synthesis and a dual-Vt methodology are covered and discussed along with their effectiveness. In the second part, by focusing on the technology direction of low-power design methodology, I will describe multi-VDD and power-gating techniques to reduce dynamic and leakage power. |

| Abstract: | In this talk, he will explain a style of innovation management being performed in the US, in particular, in the Silicon Valley. Together with the introduction of some important experience rules, He will talk about the innovation process as a whole. He will also explain what is going on about the innovation policy management in the US, e.g., Palmisano Report, etc., and its influence to industries. Finally, he will argue future innovation management issues including open innovation and democratizing innovation. |
