  • 2016.12.20: A special educational event was held. Mr. Mike Lee of Shiny Barnacle (Toronto, Canada) gave a talk titled "Canadian Startup 'Conversate' will change English education in Japan" and Mr. John K. Moriwaka of Moriwaka Medical, Inc., gave a talk titled "Lets save the world"
  • 2016.12.5: Prof. Krishnendu Chakrabarty of Duke University gave an intived talk titled "Digital Microfluidic Biochips: From Manipulating Droplets to Quantitive Gene-Expression Analysis Assessment" at Kitakyushu Science and Research Park (Kitakyushu, Japan).
  • 2016.11.29: A review and planning meeting was held in Fukuoka for the Bilateral Joint Research Program conducted by University of Stuttgart (Germany) and Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan).
  • 2016.11.23: Prof. Wen attended the ATS 25th Anniversary Social Program in which past ATS program chairs were awared.
  • 2016.11.22: The award ceromony was held at the plenary session of Asian Test Symposium 2016. The paper titled "Logic/Clock-Path-Aware At-Speed Scan Test Generation for Avoiding False Capture Failures and Reducing Clock Stretch" and co-authored by K. Asada, X. Wen, S. Holst, K. Miyase, S. Kajihara (Kyushu Institute of Technology), M. A. Kochte, E. Schneider, H.-J. Wunderlich (Universtity of Stuttgart), and J. Qian (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.) won the Best Paper Award of Asian Test Symposium 2015 (Mumbai, India).
  • 2016.10.25: Prof. Wen visited Jiangsu Key Laboratory of ASIC Design in Nantong University. Prof. Wen also visited the Historty Museum in the Library of Nantong University and left a message.
  • 2016.10.24: Prof. Wen visited Nantong University and gave an intived talk titled "IC: Technical Trends and Career Development".
  • 2016.10.16: Prof. Wen attended the opening ceromony of Innovation Dojo in Yamaguchi University.
  • 2016.9.27: Prof. Wen was elevated as a Senior Member of IPSJ (Information Processing Society of Japan).
  • 2016.9.9: A joint workshop under the Germany-Japan Bilateral Joint Research Project was held in Fukuoka and attended by researchers and students from Kyushu Institute of Technology and Univeristy of Stuttgart.
  • 2016.9.8: A special workshop was held at the Global Communication Lounge on KIT Iizuka Campus. Dr. M. Kochte and Mr. E. Schneider of University of Stuttgart talked about graduate education in Germany as well as their own research projects. This event was live-streamed to overseas universities, including Hefei University of Technology in China.
  • 2016.8.19: A joint LSI Test Workshop was held in Fukuoka. Prof. S. Wang (former student of Prof. S. Kajihara) of Ehime University and Prof. Y. Yamato (former student of Prof. X. Wen) of NAIST presented their recent work. This workshop was followed by a party at a Japanese restaurant.
  • 2016.8.3: Six students from the KIT LSI Test Research Group and two visiting students from National Taiwan University visited Advantest Kyushu Systems Co., Ltd.. and received basic hands-on training on the usage of ATE.
  • 2016.8.1: Mr. T.-H. Li from National Taiwan University arrived at the KIT Iizuka Campus to start her short-term research visit to the Wen Lab.
  • 2016.7.29: An Invitation Fellowship was granted to Prof. A. Chakrabarty of University of Calcutta, India, for a short-term research collaboration visit to the Wen Lab with Prof. Wen as the host.
  • 2016.7.23: Prof. Wen attended China Test Conference 2016 in Nantong, China and gave a keynote talk titled "Power-Aware LSI Testing: Challenges and Strategies".
  • 2016.7.4: A special educational event was held. Mr. John K. Moriwaka of Moriwaka Medical, Inc., gave a motivational talk titled "Build Your Startup within 2.5 Hours".
  • 2016.6.25: Mr. J.-Y. Chen from National Taiwan University arrived at the KIT Iizuka Campus to start his short-term research visit to the Wen Lab.
  • 2016.6.14: Dr. S. Eggersgluess of University og Bremen, Germany, gave an invited talk titled "Advanced Techniques for ATPG based on Boolean Satisfiability for High Quality Test Generation".
  • 2016.6.7: Dr. S. Eggersgluess of University og Bremen, Germany, arrived in Japan for a research visit to the Wen Lab.
  • 2016.5.19: A special educational event was held. Mr. K. Tsuboyama from Ueno Seiki Co. Ltd., an OB of the Wen Lab, gave an informative talk titled "How to become a globally competitive engineer?".
  • 2016.4.28: A welcome party for the new students of the Kajihara-Wen-Miyase research group was held in Iizuka.
  • 2016.4.11: A special educational event was held. Mr. John K. Moriwaka of Moriwaka Medical, Inc., gave a motivational talk titled "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Silicon Valley".
  • 2016.3.25: Three students, J. Miyasaki, K. kawahara, and Y. Zhang, from the Wen Lab comepleted their master courses and got master degrees.
  • 2016.3.1: The 3rd Test Spring Seminar, organzied by DISC of Kyushu Institute of Technology, was held in Fukuoka. In the morning,Prof. A. Chakrabarti of University of Calcutta, India, gave an invited seminar titled "Scheduling Real Time Task Sets on Fully and Partially Re-Configurable Platforms". In the afternoon, Prof. E. Babulak of Institute of Technology and Business, Czech Republic, gave an invited seminar titled "Ph.D. Thesis Reserach Communication".
  • 2016.2.29: The 3rd International Symposium on Dependable Integarted Systems, organzied by DISC of Kyushu Institute of Technology, was held on the Iizuka Campus of Kyushu Institute of Technology. In the morning, Prof. E. Babulak of Institute of Technology and Business, Czech Republic, gave an invited talk titled "Cyber Security & Furture Cyberspace: Mission Based Access Control", Prof. A. Chakrabarti of University of Calcutta, India, gave an invited talk titled "Multi Metric Preferential Algorithm for Partially Re-Configurable Targets", and Dr. N. Kanekawa of Hitachi Research Laboratory, Japan, gave an invited talk titled "Industral Approach for Dependability in the Recent Decade". In the afternoon, eight research presentations were made from DISC.
  • 2016.2.12: Three master students from the Wen Lab presented their master theses. One of them will go on to the Ph.D. course.
  • 2016.1.29: Dependable Systems Research Center (DISC) received a grant from Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) for overseas study and internship.
  • 2016.1.22: Koji Asada, a master student from the Wen Lab, presented a paper titled "Logic/Clock-Path-Aware At-Speed Scan Test Generation for Avoiding False Capture Failures and Reducing Clock Stretch" at FTC-74.
  • 2016.1.21: Prof. Wen came to Miyajima (close to the world heritage site of Itsukushima Shrine) to attend FTC-74.
  • 2016.1.20: Dr. Domink Erb of University of Freiburg (Germany) visited the Wen Lab and gave a talk titled "On the Handling of Unknown Values in Test Pattern Generation".
  • 2016.1.14: A DISC special seminar was held at Kyutech Satellite Office in Tenjin, Fukuoka. Mr. Alexander Streater gave a talk on titled "The future is not what you expect! Create or die out".
