2017.12.29: Prof. Wen gave a talk titled "Power-Aware Testing of Low-Power VLSI Circuits" at Prof. D. Xiang's Lab in Tsinghua Univeristy, Beijing, China.

2017.12.22: The year-end party of the LSI test group at KIT was held in Iizuka, Japan.

2017.12.14: Prof. Wen arrived in Akita to attend the 2nd Winter Workshop on Safety.

2017.11.27: A half-day tutorial titled "Power-Aware Testing in the Era of IoT" was presented by Prof. P. Girard of LIRMM (France) and Prof. Wen at the 26th Asian Test Symposium, in Taipei, Taiwan.

2017.11.26: Prof. Wen arrived in Taipei, Taiwan, to attend the 26th Asian Test Symposium (Nov. 27-30, 2017) and the Workshop on RTL and High Level Testing (Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 2017).

2017.11.16: A smart stick for assisting doctors and patients invloved in rehabilitation was on display at the 19th West Japan International Welfare Equipment and Devices Fair held in Kita-Kyushu, Japan. The smart stick was developed jointly by Moriwaka Medical, Inc. and the Web Lab.

2017.11.14: Prof. Wen gave a keynote talk titled "Power-Aware Testing for Low-Power VLSI Circuits" at SEAS-2017.

2017.11.13: Prof. Wen arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to attend the 5th Int'l Symp. on Applied Engineering and Sciences (SAES-2017) on the compus of Universiti Putra Malasyia.

2017.11.7: A Ph.D. candidate from the Wen lab, Mr. Y. Zhang, presented his research work at Design Gaia 2017 in Kumamoto, Japan.

2017.10.1: Two Ph.D. studnets from China, Shiling Shi and Ruijun Ma, joined the Wen Lab.

2017.9.30: A presentation was given at the 6th Engineering-Aided Physical Therapy Symposium about a smart stick developed jointly by the Wen Lab (PI: Dr. S. Holst) and Moriwaka Medical Co., Ltd (PI: Mr. K. Moriwaka). The smart stick had been successfully applied at an assisted-living senior facility for monitoring the rehabilitation state of elder people with unilateral paralysis.

2017.9.22: Prof. Wen attended the IEEE International Workshop on nanotechnology for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (IEEE-NRIS 2017) in Qinhuangdao, China.

2017.8.25: A special seminar was held at the Global Communication Lounge on KIT Iizuka Campus. Dr. S. Eggersgluess of University of Bremen, Germany, gave a talk titled "Power Analysis Using Transient Power Activity and Dynamic Clustering Techniques".

2017.8.21: A special seminar was held. First, two Ph.D students and one post-doc researcher from the KIT LSI Test Group presented their research work. After that, Prof. P. Chen of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology gave a talk titled "A High Accuracy Two-Dimentional FPGA Vernier Time-to-Digital Converter based on Double Date Rate PLL Delay Matrix".

2017.8.16: Dr. S. Eggersgluess of University og Bremen, Germany, arrived in Japan for a research visit to the Wen Lab.

2017.8.10: A special educational event was held. Mr. John K. Moriwaka of Moriwaka Medical, Inc., gave a motivational talk on the secret of building unicorns.

2017.7.21: Two visiting students from Natioonal Taiwan University and two students from the Wen Lab visited Toyota Motor Kyushu that produces Toyota's Lexus-brand luxurious cars.

2017.7.13: A special educational event was held. Mr. John K. Moriwaka of Moriwaka Medical, Inc., gave a motivational talk on silicon-valley-style business planning.

2017.7.8: Two master students from National Taiwan University started their research visit (2017/7/8-9/2) to the Wen Lab.

2017.6.12: Prof. Wen attended an inspring talk event given by Dr. Anis Uzzaman, Co-Founder and CEO of Fenox Venture Capital.

2017.5.14: Prof. Wen met with Prof. J.-M. Li of National Taiwan University in Fukuoka.

2017.5.11: Prof. Wen joined the Steering Committee of IEEE Workshop on RTL and High Level Testing.

2017.4.1: Prof. Wen received a 4-year JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) on "Shift-Power-Safe Scan Test Methodology for High-Quality Low-Power LSI Circuits".

2017.3.28: A ceremony was held to commemorate the 30th annaversary of the School of Computer Science and Systems Engineering at Kyushu Institute of Technology.

2017.3.24: The Wen Lab graduated two master students and four undergraduate students.

2017.3.17: A farewell party was held for graduating students from the LSI Test Research Group at Kyushu Institute of Technology.

2017.3.10: Prof. Wen gave an invited talk titled "All abour ICs: From Technology Trends to Career Choices" at the School of Computer Science and Technology of Anhui University.

2017.3.8: Prof. Wen visited the Xuancheng Campus of f Hefei University of Technology and gave an invited talk titled "All abour ICs: From Technology Trends to Career Choices" at the Department of Information Engineering.

2017.3.7: Prof. Wen gave an invited talk titled "All abour ICs: From Technology Trends to Career Choices" at the School of Electronic Science and Applied Physics of Hefei University of Technology.

2017.3.6: Prof. Wen and students from Kyushu Institute of Technology visited the Laboratory of Micro/Nano Functional Materials and Devices as well as Institute of VLSI Design at Hefei University of Technology.

2017.3.5: Prof. Wen arrived at Heifei University of Technology for a visit with four graduate students from Kyushu Institute of Technology.

2017.1.31: A special seminar was held at the Global Communication Lounge on KIT Iizuka Campus. Mr. Keita Masuzaki, a former car designer, talked design innovation, and Mr. Alexander Streater, an electronic & communications Engineer and a democratic education advocate, talked about creativity.

2017.1.23: A special seminar was held at the Global Communication Lounge on KIT Iizuka Campus. Dr. Amlan Charkrabarti of of University of Calcutta, India, talked data analytics for IoT.

2017.1.17: Prof. Wen met with Prof. Mark Tehranipoor in Makuhari and discussed issues on research and education on hardware security.

2017.1.12: The Joint New Year Party for the LSI Test Reserach Group was held at Torizen in Iizuka.

2017.1.8: Prof. Amlan Charkrabarti of University of Calcutta, India, arrived in the Iizuka Campus of Kyushu Istitute of Technology and started his research at Wen Lab sponsored by JSPS Invitation Fellowships for Research in Japan.
