2014.12.21: Dr. M. Kochte at University of Stuttgart, Germany, was granted a travel exchange grant from DAAD for the purpose of a joint research project with the Wen Lab on high-performance simulation for high quality small delay fault testing.

2014.11.26: A book chapter titiled "Low-Power Testing of 2D/3D Devices and Systems" co-authored by Prof. Wen was publsihed by CRC Press.

2014.11.17: Prof. Wen attended Asian Test Symposium and Workshop on RTL and High Level Testing in Hangzhou, China.

2014.10.20: Prof. Wen arrived in Seattle to attend International Test Conference and served as a firingline expert.

2014.10.18: Prof. Wen visited Prof. K. K. Saluja at University of Wisconsin - Madison.

2014.10.17: Dependable Integrated Systems Research Center (DISC) headed by Prof. Wen won an internal grant from Kyushu Institute of Technology for establishing an international research center for advanced research on dependable systems.

2014.10.17: Prof. Wen visited Prof. K. Chakrabarty at Duke University, and gave a talk titled "From Low-Power Test to Power-Safe Test".

2014.10.10: Prof. Wen visited Tsinghua University and held a meeting with Prof. D. Xiang and Mr. J. Qian, a Director at AMD. Prof. Wen also gave a talk titled "From Low-Power Test to Power-Safe Test".

2014.9.29: Dependable Integrated Systems Research Center (DISC) headed by Prof. Wen jointly won a grant with Moriwaka Medical Co. Ltd. from Yamaguchi Prefecture to develop an innovative rehabilitation-assistance system.

2014.9.23: Prof. Wen visited School of Electronic Science and Applied Physics (SESAP) at Hefei University of Technology. Prof. Wen discussed cooperation strategies with Prof. Huaguo Liang, Dean of SESAP. Prof. Wen also gave a talk titled "From Low-Power Test to Power-Safe Test" at SESAP.

2014.9.19: Dr. M. Kochte and Mr. E. Schneider of University of Stuttgart, Germany, visited the Wen Lab. Mr. Schneider , a Ph.D. candidate, gave a talk titled "Massive Throughput Computing: GPUs and Their Applications in EDA"

2014.8.24: Prof. Wen arrived in Dalian, China, to attend the 12th IEEE International Conference on Dependable, Autonomic, and Secure Computing.

2014.8.16: Prof. Wen attended the 1st Innovation Forest Submit in Shmonoseki.

2014.7.25: Mr. K. Moriwaka, VP of Moriwaka Medical Co. Ltd., visited and gave an inspiring talk about leadership.

2014.7.18: Prof. Wen attended the 71st FTC Workshop in Ome City. Prof. Hideo Tamakoto gave a special talk commemorating his 38 years of academic life at Akita University.

2014.7.8: Prof. Wen arrived in Tampa, Florida, to attend 2014 IEEE Computer Society Annual Symposium on VLSI.

2014.7.7: Prof. Holst visited Shimonoseki Hospital and demonstrated a pressure-sensing walking-stick prototype for quantified rehabilitation.

2014.7.2: Prof. Wen visited Advanced Micro Systems in Shanghai and discussed various test-related issues.

2014.6.26: Prof. Wen attended 2014 SIIQ (Kyushu Semiconductor & Electronics Technology Innovation Association) general meeting and exhibition.

2014.6.23: Dr. S. Eggersgluess, Independent Post-Doctoral Researcher at University of Bremen, Germany, gave a special talk titled "Advanced Techniques for ATPG based on Boolean Satisfiability for High Quality Test Generation".

2014.6.17: Dr. S. Eggersgluess, Independent Post-Doctoral Researcher at University of Bremen, Germany, arrived in Japan for a 10-day research collaboration visit to the Wen Lab.

2014.6.6: The 3rd Special Workshop on Healthcare Innovation was held at Kyutech Satellite Office in Tenjin, Fukuoka. This event, sponsored by DISC, featured a talk by Mr. K. Ishiguro on medical-device-related laws and regulations and a talk by Dr. M. Mine on intellectual property protection.

2014.5.23: Prof. Wen arrived in Paderborn to attend attended European Test Symposium.

2014.5.22: Prof. Wen attended Mr. M. A. Kochte's Ph.D. defence and the evaluation committee meeting after that. Mr. M. A. Kochte made a successful defecnce, and will be formally granted the title of "Dr.". Here is Dr. Kochte with his Hauptberichter Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Wunderlich and me as his Mitberichter.

2014.5.21: Prof. Wen visited Prof. Dr. H.-J. Wunderlich's research group at the University of Stuttgart in Germany, and gave a talk titled "Power-Aware Testing: The Next Stage".

2014.5.20: Prof. Wen visited Prof. B. Becker's research group at the University of Freiburg in Germany.

2014.4.25: The first event of the 2014 DISC Special Lecture Series took place. Prof. Y. Yamato of Nara Institute of Science and Technology, an alumnus of Wen Lab, gave a talk titled "High-Quality Delay Test for Dependable VLSIs".

2014.4.22: The 2014 welcome-party of the Kajihara-Wen research group was held at Wakatori.

2014.4.10: Prof. Wen visited the 2014 MEDTEC Japan Exhibition with Mr. T. Moriwaka (CEO of Moriwaka Medical Co. Ltd.) and Prof. S. Hoslt (KyuTech).

2014.4.3: Prof. Wen attended the 2014 freshmen orientation of the Department of Computer Science and Electronics.

2014.4.1: Prof. Wen and his students were featured on the cover page of the 2014-Spring edition of KIT News.

2014.3.23: Prof. Wen attended DATE 2014 in Dresden, Germany. He chaired Session 5.7 (Test Generation and Optimization) on March 25.

2014.3.10: 2014 International Symposium on Dependable Integrated Systems, organized by DISC, was held on the Iizuka Campus of Kyushu Institute of Technology on March 10, 2014. The program is here. Mr. B. Kadet of Altera gave an invited talk titled "Using FPGAs in Automotive & Industrial Applications", Prof. J.-L. Huang of National Taiwan University gave an invited talk titled "Implementation of ATE Timing Cricuits on FPGA", and Mr. Hanibuchi of Capsule Inc. gave an invited talk titled "Why I Started my Onw Company at the Age of 29?". 2014.3.4: The 2nd Special Workshop on Healthcare Innovation was held at the Kyutech satellite meeting place in Tenjin (downtown Fukuoka). The program is here. Prof. Inoue of Kyushu Institute of Technology gave a talk on brain wave analysis and Mr. J. K. Moriwaka, VP of Moriwaka Medical Co Ltd., gave a talk on healthcare innovation.

2014.1.31: Prof. Wen attended the Technical Committee meeting of European Test Symposium 2014 (ETS'14) in Poznan, Poland.

2014.1.29: Mr. T. Moriwaka, Founder and CEO of Morikawa Medical Co., Ltd, and Mr. K. Morikawa, its Executive Vice President, visited Wen Lab. Prof. S. Holst demonstrated the progress made in an ongoing R&D project with the company aimed at developing IT-based medical devices.
